Reporting to the General Manager (GM), I am responsible for the efficient and cost effective operations of the business. I oversee the Customer Service and Warehouse departments at our main warehouse in Seven Hills. I ensure orders are processed correctly and efficiently from receipt to dispatch, organise customer delivery schedules and transfer order to our Self Service Distribution Units (SSDUs) for the delivery driver.
Management of Self Service Distribution Units (SSDU’s): General stock maintenance and ensuring date critical stock is rotated on a regular basis. This includes producing stock transfers for each of the 20 SSDU warehouses on a weekly or fortnightly basis and organising the staff to attend each site as the stock arrives for put away and general tidy up of each site, overseeing of regular stocktakes and training of contract staff to maintain the sites to a high standard.
I am also responsible for liaising with the interstate DCs to arrange for stock transfers both in and out of the DCs and customer order dispatches.
Reporting: Running weekly and monthly sales reports for the management and sales team and Ad hoc data reports when required.
I am the point of escalation for the CS and Warehouse departments and am responsible for solving any significant issues.
Some major accomplishments over the last 12 months include overseeing our main warehouse move to a larger premises in March 2023 (the same month that Firex recorded its largest monthly sales figures in 5 years). Through most of 2023 I was also heavily involved in testing ,training and rolling out of a new ERP system for the warehouse and sales team which went live in December 2023.
