Thank you for accepting my application for the position of Boarding School Assistant at Mount Erin Boarding.

As you would be aware, I have been employed at Mount Erin previously and left in 2023 to pursue a position of responsibility at Canberra Girls Grammar School. This has been a rewarding position and a wonderful learning opportunity.

However,it has been challenging to be away from family and working in a 24/7 position without what I perceive as sufficient support. I know I still have much to offer in the field of educating young people, and in particular in the boarding field.

  • Teaching at a local village school developed through a family foundation. Developed units of work related to textbooks used in the school but outside the usual parameters to professionally develop staff in how to deliver a more varied curriculum in English.

  • Position of middle management, member of the Curriculum Committee, workshops (level 1 & 2) in PYP teaching and learning. The position called for liaison with parents, students and staff, developing professional staff meetings, interviewing prospective students and overseeing the daily running and development of the Elementary campus.
