Summary

Experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist currently in the Emergency Department. I provide proficient, patient-centered, clinical nursing. I also provide and participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experiences, and goal setting for new staff. I have also demonstrated strong leadership within the Emergency Department.

I have demonstrated initiative and innovation throughout my career. I play a key role in establishing the ED-ICU exchange program, designed to strengthen communication between the two units and enhance clinical education for staff. This program has contributed to improving interdepartmental relationships and increased staff confidence in managing complex presentations.

I am also a portfolio lead for Standard 4: Medication Safety. I initiated regular collaborative meetings between ED and Pharmacy clinical leads to ensure alignment with current medication standards, address SLS trends, and identify opportunities for improvement. This work has strengthened medication governance within the department and reflects a commitment to quality and safety. I have also developed exceptional skills through my experience as After-Hours Nurse Manager and After-Hours Clinical Nurse Lead.
