  • One project I enjoyed and am proud to have worked on is researching and collating a collection of images from professional photographers, Liaising with my line manager for image specifications and the printing graphic design team, along with the photographers to create beautiful images printed and applied to both the external window panels and internal glass wall panels. My favourite is the huge whaleshark featured on the full length of one wall, in the meeting room at the GDC. I worked closely and collaborated with both photographers and graphic design team on these. Each image represents and showcases a different industry within our Gascoyne region.

Summary of responsibilities

  • Undertaking Project Office Move. Assisting with planning and organisation of all tasks relating to moving the Commission to their new premises. Emphasis on government records management, record keeping and official State Archiving processes following relevant legislations and policies for each task undertaken, in a high pressured environment, teamwork and clear communication was essential, as was the ability to work under pressure without supervision, working with deadlines etc.
  • Welcome visitors to the Gascoyne Development Commission office, assist them by providing relevant information as required.
  • Answering telephone and responding to all emails. Taking care of anything that needs to be actioned from emails, correspondence and weekly team meetings.
  • Providing administration support with tasks including photocopying, scanning, creating and compiling documents, preparing new files and documents, updating records and databases as required.
  • Providing a central point of contact for any staff enquiries, liaising with internal and external corporate functional areas regarding HR, Payroll, ICT queries and with external suppliers for outsourced services.
  • Providing administration and research support to other project staff on selected projects.
