• Caretaking of Mount Elizabeth Station with my family through the 23/24 wet season
• Roll included but not limited too the following
• Maintenance and repairs of all vehicles and machinery
• Rebuilding of large generator engines
• Homestead, accomodation block and shed maintenance and repairs
• Slashing of airstrip and maintenance of runway
• Liaise with station owners of yard and infrastructure upgrades, carry out work
• Stocktake and order supplies as required
• General overseeing of cattle welfare, fence lines, water troughs etc
• I owned and operated a mechanical repair business in far north Cape York. My main clientele were broken down tourist, local business owners and the local Indigenous communities. New Mapoon was the location of the workshop, of which I also ran a fully equipped break down truck.
• Normal running of the business included but not limited to the following
• In-depth communication with customers in regards to diagnosis, quoting and repairs
• Personally responsible for all of the stock at hand, quoting, invoicing, servicing, repairs and warranty
• Extensive dealings with insurance companies in regards to repairs, quotes and invoicing
• Exceptional time management stills
• Chartered helicopter flights to remote Indigenous islands for council generator repairs
• Organise/ manage freight logistics
• Implement highest level of environmental waste management
• Working within a team environment, my workshop was based within the RACQ compound, helping each other out, repairs of their trucks, and occasional tilt tray work.
• Established a 4x4 service, repair and fabrication shop, in the 8 years before sale growing it into a very reputable, well respected business employing 3 mechanics, an apprentice and a receptionist.
