  • Provides accurate and timely information, support and guidance to leaders on individual people matters including poor performance, misconduct, complaints/grievances and investigations. Including assistance/interpretation of ANF’s Enterprise Agreements, awards, employment legislation, employment contracts, policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Deals with day-to-day operational issues, using sound commercial risk-weighted HR technical knowledge to independently manage grievance and disciplinary hearings, solving problems, recommending interventions and implementing improvements to managers and team members to ensure a satisfactory outcome for both the business and the individual(s).
  • Analyses caseloads to identify key themes for improvement along with identification of issues and provides reporting (case performance, improvement themes, trends etc…) as required. Also conducts research to analyse and review precedents to provide options and feedback, outcomes of these evaluations should underpin recommendations for leaders to make informed decisions.
  • Prepares various documents at each stage of the Case Management lifecycle (i.e. counselling, discipline, termination, consultation correspondence etc…) as required. Maintains ownership of an active caseload, accurately enters information promptly into the relevant case management system to record the details of each case and keeps impacted leaders up to date with progress of cases until resolution has been reached.
  • Provides support, guidance and training to managers to help develop their people management skills and their understanding of ANF policies, procedures and practices. Coaches, develops and challenges leaders whilst instilling confidence to address people issues that arise and actively educates leaders and team members about the People Relations Case Management operating model.
  • Professional interactions with third parties including unions, external lawyers, customers and external vendors. Participates in HR projects and administrative duties as required. Works closely with the P&C Business Partner team to enhance individual and departmental performance within the business through a variety of employee engagement and change management initiatives, both proactive and reactive in order to minimise risk to the business and maximise employee engagement.
