with the experience i gained from the previous jobs listed i was asked to come and work with os form work as a team leader teaching lots of people who were completely new to this type of work and ensuring that everything runs smoothly. the projects i was apart of were the construction of housing estates. we were contracted in to do building of these homes using insulated concrete form work. once the forms were built and the pour was completed we then were contacted to do all of the capentry work invovled in homes some of these duties included

• Framing/studding
• The installation of floors, skirting boards and achitraves
• Installing doors and windows
• Joisting for the second story
• Installing chipboard flooring on the joists
• Installing stair cases
• Installing window boards
• Installing window cils

WIth BOS building my role was an ICF installer ( insulated concrete formwork)

worked on several large residential projects constructing houses and apartment complexes, we used ICF as the method of building as it allows you to build a floor consisting of 6 apartment in a matter of weeks.

some of the duties i undertook are as follows

• marking out site to ensure building were as the drawing intended them to be
• measured and cut and fixed track to the ground for the icf blocks to sit in
• reading plans to find door/window openings and desired height
• installing blocks in a quick and accurate fashion
• installing structural steel in each coarse of the icf walls horizontally and vertically when the walls were at desired height
• when structure was complected installing bracing to ensure zero movement
• Leveling walls to be ready for concrete
• Finding weak points and correcting the issues
• manning the concrete pump to ensure the walls are filled correctly
• poking the concrete to get rid of any air bubbles and to ensure that there are no places that the concrete didnt reach to make sure the structure is as solid as possible
• leveling walls after the pour to make sure there was no. movement during the pour
• leveling off concrete at the top of the wall and adding more steel to act as starting bars for when the next floor is being built after the hollowcore floors are intalled
• removing bracing once concrete is dry

I was a part of team with sarney developments manily resposable for the first and second fixing of residential Projects all over ireland, i eventually rose to a position as a team leader with a crew of 5 capenters ensuring the work being done was up to standards that are expected and dead lines were met in a timely fasion, Some of the work i was doing is as follows

• framing walls with both metal and wooden studs
• Laminate /hardwood/chip board flooring
• installing skirting boards and architraves
• Measuring, cutting and installing door jambs/frames
• cutting doors to size/hinging doors with millimetre accuracy
• the manufacture and installation of kitchens/waredrobs and various other types of cabnitry
• installing window boards
• decking
• installing gyprock
• installing windows
• installing structural steel RSJ
• flat roofing
• installing stairs
• Installing oak hand rails
• Site fencing
• flashing for roof and windows
• water proofing
• responsible for ordering materials
• installing pergolas
• installing door hardware
• insalling bathroom mirrors

I was part of a team responsible for The installation of data. network cables/ fiber optic cables/ running wires for security cameras on one of the largest data centers to be constructed in ireland (facebook data center in Clonee Co.Meath) Some of the duties involved are as follows

• Repaired and updated equipment to conform to company-wide standards.
• tested each cable that was ran in order to find faults ensuring they could be quickly fixed
• Installed Celling track/trunking for cables to be ran on
• reading drawings to ensure everything ran the way it should
