I was born and raised in the very north of New Zealand in a small city called Whangārei. I am a sociable, easy-going person who takes real pride in my workmanship and reliability. Outside of work, I enjoy surfing, snowboarding, and generally staying fit. My biggest passion, however, is snowboarding, which is why I’ve chosen the beautiful St. Anton am Arlberg as my new home. I am currently working as an electrician in the Northern Beaches of Sydney. I recently moved here to take advantage of the strong employment opportunities and higher earning potential in a bigger city, as I’m saving for the upcoming ski season in St. Anton.
I originally joined Revolve Electrical Solutions in 2021 for work experience while studying, then worked as an apprentice for a few months before moving to Christchurch to broaden my knowledge in the industry and complete my apprenticeship.
Since gaining my electrical qualification in late 2024, I worked as a qualified electrician with Revolve in my hometown of Whangārei, NZ.
During my latest role at Revolve, I took on a wide range of residential and commercial projects, including switchboard upgrades, renovations, solar and heating installations and upgrades, as well as full electrical fit-outs for several large new-build projects. A highlight was leading the electrical work for Revolve Group’s new office headquarters as the lead electrician.
I completed my apprenticeship in Christchurch with Sharp Electrical, working on a wide range of projects across the city, and picking up different skills from a variety of tradesmen.
Coming from a smaller, more remote town like Whangārei, it was a great experience to be exposed to the pace and variety of work in a bigger city.
I spent five of my high school summer holidays working at Golden Mile, I progressed through multiple roles within the packhouse, gaining valuable hands-on experience and responsibility.
Working in the packhouse taught me how to perform well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, sharpened my attention to detail, and built a strong work ethic and sense of accountability.
I worked at Kamo Four Square Supermarket for two years, every Sunday morning, and one or two shifts after school. My role included restocking shelves, conducting stocktakes, and primarily operating the checkout. Constantly interacting with customers helped me develop strong customer service and communication skills, and I learned to maintain professionalism at all times.
Time Management
Five summers in a busy avocado packhouse and four years as an electrician have given me strong time management skills It has taught me to stay organised, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines without compromising quality
Client/Customer service
I work with a wide range of clients on a daily basis and have done so for many years I understand the importance of excellent customer service and how it directly impacts the company’s reputation
Reliability/Punctuality
Reliability and punctuality are habits I like to live by I make it a priority to be on time and prepared, as I know the importance of this to an employer You can count on me to follow through on what I say I’ll do and to deliver consistently
Teamwork
I’ve always worked as part of a team, and I genuinely enjoy the camaraderie that comes with it I’m easy to get along with and can fit in just about anywhere
Communication
I am naturally a very talkative person, so conversation comes easily to me Years of customer service have taught me how to communicate clearly and professionally at work I get along with people easily while still keeping things professional
Problem Solving/Adaptability
I am used to having to improvise, adapt plans, and solve issues both in my everyday work as an electrician and in everyday life I’m a solutions-focused person who can stay calm under pressure and find a way forward when challenges arise
