Ross Bramley

I am an enthusiastic Assistant Principal offering a 15 year history of supporting academic excellence as well as social and emotional development. Over this time I have developed a reputation in being motivated to, and being successful in, improving relationships amongst staff, students and members of the Bass Coast Community. I am personable and outgoing with skills in building rapport with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

As a Campus Principal, I take my role in supporting the School Leadership Team in developing a curriculum, range of programs, staff capacity and a strong connectedness between the College, families and the community that will provide the best possible learning environment for our students.

On an individual level, I thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to instill the love of learning in all students and encourage them to achieve to the best of their ability. I do this is by concentrating on building strong relationships between staff, parents and students so that students feel more connected with school. This connectedness is a major key to student’s success at school.

I know that my demonstrated high level skills in the areas of student wellbeing and student management enable me to work with staff to create a learning environment where teenagers can receive genuine esteem and the resultant feeling of self worth.

• Organised the foundation of the Bass Coast College FLOW (Flexible Learning Option - Wonthaggi)
• Lead the implementation of a School Wide Positive Behaviour strategy at the Dudley Campus (currently in the process of an update)
• Lead a highly successful Grade 6 to Year 7 Transition Program for 15 years.
• Collaborated with key staff to implement and imbed the VCE Vocational Major certificate
• Managed the installation of many relocatable classrooms
• Lead and collaborated with key staff around the use of Compass management system
• Empowered and supported wellbeing staff to review and improve all wellbeing processes
• Organised and coordinated many school events including VCE information nights, Year 12 Formals, Year 12 Graduation Ceremonies, End of Year Presentation Ceremonies and Professional Development opportunities for staff.
