My aviation career began not actually flying Aircraft but employed with the National Safety Council of Australia in a Para-Rescue Paramedic team offering support up to 500nm offshore to distressed vessels or downed aircraft.
Later I transferred to the Aviation wing, flying Helicopters, which involved SAR contracts for the Australian Air Force, Fire bombing, Decompression transfers and general SAR.
After the NSCA finished in 1989 I gained employment with Skywest Aviation on the Coastwatch contract based in Nhulunbuy NT, Cairns and later the Air Ambulance out of Sydney.
In 1998 I moved the UK with the intent to fly in Europe. On completion of the UK/EASA ATPL I was employed by Go, a subsidiary of British Airways as a First Officer on the B737-300, 15 months later I had a command and was promoted to Technical Pilot for the B737 Operations.
In 2003 GO was taken over by easyjet and I was based in Gatwick on the B737-700/A319.
2006 I was successfully employed with Jetstar based out of Sydney as a First Officer on the A330-200.
In 2008 completed command on the A330-200.
