Passionate about fostering an inclusive environment for students off all Ages, Gender, Race & Religion that promotes health and wellness through effective Pilates instruction.
Through the duration of my Diploma studies, I performed a large percentage of my clinical hours underneath the supervision of Mr Andrew Brown, the company owner and lead Physiotherapist at “Evolve Physio and Co.” in Ningi Queensland. This involved a lot of One-on-One Post acute rehabilitation work as well as working with group classes within whom most people were in their 50’s and up age groups. I found this to be a vast contrast to the current trend of the Pilates industry which seems to be heading in a less hands on approach where tactile and verbal queuing are disappearing as well as the hands on postural corrections that are necessary to ensure that your clients are receiving the best possible results from their class and not furthering the injury they have through incorrect techniques not being addressed.
I also had the privilege of working with Mothers in the postnatal rehabilitation of their pelvic floor through active dynamic pelvic floor training, active core re-activation and finding the connection with their body post birth and the traumas associated with it. This was done by the back-to-basics Mat Work Repertoire.
