• As a OIC for the Federal Election, my duties were to fly to all the above islands with the RAMP (Remote Area Mobile Polling) team to do pre-voting for the people who cannot make to Thursday Island or Horn Island to vote in the “Federal Election”.

• Mayoral Election. - Saturday 04/06/2022
• Venue: Horn Island Sports Stadium
• Duties Involved:
• Supervise all staffs that are working on the Election Day and at the end of the day, I count up all the votes and then ring in to T.I and Brisbane at 11pm that night.

• As a RAMT Leader I was to ensure and provide accurate Census Data on Housing, Male, Females, Children under 15yrs, Hotels / Motels and Businesses up here in the Torres Strait Islands.
• I have also had to recruit and train 15 Census field officers to deliver and help the public fill out the correct Census form for each household in their respective communities
• Once all Datas of their communities is received, I then have to enter all Data’s electronically into the ABS system, which is then collated by Canberra office for further analysis.
• I am also responsible for the Census field officers signing of their Contract, Confidentiality, Bank Details and the signing off on their timesheets for their wages.

• Daily supervision of Jobseekers ( Participants ) at the Activity from 8am – 1pm ( Mon – Fri )

• Relieving other supervisor from different sites.

• Relieving ‘Engagement Officer’

• Pick up and drop off Jobseekers – Activities/site.

• Make sure Jobseekers are covered by the WH&S & abide by legislation.

• Undertake transfer of Passengers from the Airport to the Ferry at Horn Island wharf.
• Transfer of passengers from the ferry at Horn Island wharf to Airport to catch Qantas.
• Booked or Hired Taxi to and from the Airport and Wharf.

• Under the general direction coordination of the day to day inspection and support For Torres Straits and NPA.
• Prepare reports and maintain records as appropriate
• Liaise with clients, small businesses and all government agencies.
• Liaise with TSRA (Torres Strait Regional Authority) and provide adduce when necessary.
• Undertaking International clearance at the Horn Island Airport for incoming Plane and Pax.
• Undertaking International clearance at the Horn & Thursday Island seaport with Customs.
• Clearance of all international Passenger Cruise Ships, Yachts and Cargo vessel.
• Monitoring of ‘BEE surveillance’ (exotic fruitflies)
• Monitoring of ‘Vector surveillance’ which is the monitoring of ‘Mosquito’ that carries ‘Dengue Fever’ and other airborne deseases.
