I am in the first year of a combined apprenticeship in mechanical and electrical for heavy diesel.

• I assist senior mechanics with complex repairs, gaining hands-on experience and improving technical skills.
• Attend onsite TAFE training in automotive electrical.
• Cover a wide variety of tasks, from mechanical repairs to electrical work such as parts maintenance, parts replacement, diagnostics, pre delivery inspections and servicing including DAF, Kenworth and Isuzu.
• Responsibilities include a broad range of work; anything from tipper hydraulics to Kenworth/DAF clutches to Isuzu head gaskets etc.
• Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to determine functionality, necessary actions or completion statuses.
• Operated mechanic's tools and shop equipment safely to prevent damage.
• Utilized diagnostic tools effectively to pinpoint specific issues contributing to vehicle malfunctions or suboptimal performance levels quickly.

• While working full time in National Service I was invited to work on a freelance basis for Mutt
• Duties included autonomous bike assembly for customers orders and warehousing activities, while learning on the job with the workshop team
• Assisted and supported marketing activities and launch events.

• Responsible for customer liaisons and individual daily scheduling
• Daily duties include diagnostics, engine rebuilds, top end rebuild, new bike assembly and quality control checks and test riding
• Work closely with two other mechanics, contribute to weekly team meetings with the sales and front of house staff and management
• Work 6 days per week and additional warehouse overtime.

• Born in Singapore, as an expatriate child of Australian parents, I was required to return and complete National Service upon reaching 18 years of age.
• Initial phase was 12 weeks Basic Militrary Training in camp, including weapons and combat training, regimentation and discipline and I was assigned jungle combat section leader.
• Assigned to Transport Division, Singapore Army and trained to Class 4 Heavy Vehicle Military Licence. Completed a number of details including six days supporting the Specialist Command School and other practice combat details with shifts up to 16 hours on medical transport detail.
• Self-motivated, with a strong sense of personal responsibility.
