WORK EXPERIENCE

Student Councillor Year 5- The Kings College

  • Even at a young age, I was awarded the role of student councillor at my primary school. This resulted in me learning leadership skills when my peers were in need, I often made important decisions and had to present them in front of large crowds at whole school assemblies.
  • Drama and dance student: As a drama student, I received excellence in both years 2022 and 2023 participating in the Australia Music Examinations Board (AMEB) and was honoured with an excellence award at The University of Western Australia (UWA). Last year I performed as part of my Year 8 dance requirements at a concert called UNIFIED at All Saints College and will be again this year as well as an end-of-year production.
  • MS Readathon: In 2019 - 2020 I took part in the MS (multiple sclerosis) Readathon where I raised over $600 for the multiple sclerosis foundation. I enjoyed this, knowing that all the money was going to help people in need.
  • Volunteer work - I volunteer regularly for Ruah Community Services , this is a not for profit organisation supporting disadvantaged people in the community. The most recent volunteering was at RTR FMs fundraising event at Hyde Park in March. I enjoy speaking to members of the community and providing information about the service and how they can be supported.
  • Dog walking- I regularly walk neighbourhood dogs in the community for local people that require extra support, this is on a volunteer basis.
