I am a friendly, hardworking, and collaborative team member, currently serving as a Customer Service Officer within the Department of Health and Aged Care’s contact centre. Complementing this role, I am nearing completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood and Primary Education. Previous experience as a Diploma-Qualified educator has further strengthened my skills. The combination of work experience and ongoing education which I have completed, has provided me with skills which reinforce confidence in my ability to add substantial value to this position.
· Managing incoming calls and enquiries, from external stakeholders, government departments, the public, health professionals, and internal departmental staff.
· Promptly and efficiently directing callers, and enquiries via inbox, to relevant external and internal areas.
· Leveraging departmental resources and policy information to provide accurate information to enquirers.
· Utilising various digital departmental systems for document access, record management, and data capturing.
· Contributing to quality assurance measures, by participating in team meetings with management staff, and ensuring continuous improvement in operational tasks.
· Managing allocated tasks, by tracking progress, and completing tasks within specified timeframes.
· Providing on-the-job training and contributing to induction activities for new employees.
· Effectively communicating and collaborating with families in a friendly and professional manner.
· Assisting parents and carers to resolve issues in accordance with policies, and deescalating issues, when necessary, to management.
· Documenting children’s learning and academic, social, and emotional learning and development.
· Ensuring sensitive and medical information and records for children and their families and staff are kept confidential.
· Demonstrating a strong commitment to the cognitive, social, and emotional development of young children, fostering a positive learning environment.
· Providing customers with information about over-the-counter medications, products, and prescription related queries.
· Assisting pharmacists with preparation of prescription items and orders.
· Using POS systems and computer systems to process transactions.
· Ensuring accurate dispensing of medications and providing exceptional customer service.
· Assisting in the management of stock levels to ensure optimal product availability.
