I am a hard working disability support professional who believes in bringing my heart to the job. I have proven experience in building long term rapport with participants, working in a team or autonomously where needed, in a home based environment. I take pride in my work, in building supportive relationships with NDIS participants and assisting them to lead active lives in the community, where they belong. I passionately believe everyone deserves a valued and respected place in their communities, where they are given the opportunity to reach their full potential. I offer meticulous, participant-centred personal support, assisting people to live productive and meaningful lives, build supportive home environments and take pride in who they are. I have several referees who will attest to my genuine interest, care and commitment to this field of work.
I returned to my former employer of 7 years, Sequal, in order to support a woman with a brain injury after a family crisis that led to a sudden increase in support hours (a need for 24/7 care). I've worked with this woman for a total of 8 years now. I also picked up hours with other clients, on a casual basis. I completed the following duties:
While attending to some family commitments in Maryborough, Queensland, I secured work, providing home care, hygiene support and respite for aged people still living at home. I conducted the following duties:
The bulk of my experience is with Sequal, who I worked with from 2016-2022, and then 2023-2024, a total of almost 8 years. In that time, I developed long term working relationships and a strong rapport with several NDIS participants, and their families. These participants had a range of support needs, broadening my skillset.
• Did fill-in work, on a casual basis, relieving people on leave at Blue Care: domestic support, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms, shopping assistance, support with bathing.
