Appointed as Site Engineer in Mid January for a Residential 7 Level Apartment Project with a Buildable area of 14000 sq.ft consisting of a swimming pool, car lift, gym, kids play area, 2mx2m lift core and granite flooring. I was present during the pre construction, construction and initial finishing stages of the project in order to execute the activities mention below

• Prepared the Master program, Procurement Schedule, and resource allocations, and prepared the look ahead programs
• Coordinated with the Electricity Board, Water Board, Civil Aviation Authority, Central Environment Authority, and other relevant government bodies to get building approvals
• Controlled project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan and schedule changes and recommending actions. Controlling project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.
• Performed overall quality control of the work (Budget, schedule, plans, and personnel performance) and reported regularly on project status to Project Manager
• Inspected the setting out work of the surveyor to confirm the setting out has been executed according to architectural drawings
• Instructing Earthwork protection team of the level to which shoring work has to be executed
• Monitoring Excavation levels for Raft Foundation according to Structural and Architectural Drawings
• Providing Bar Schedules to Bar Bending Sub contractors
• Providing Instructions to Formwork Sub contractor of levels of building elements
• Inspecting reinforcement work and formwork to ensure all requirements in the drawings are satisfied
• Provided '0' levels and elevation levels of beams, slabs and stairways
• Coordinating with MEP team during the initial stages to place the required collars, sleeves and other provisions during the construction phase to avoid any corecuts later
• Administered the Contracts of all Subcontractors and interpreted contract terms
• Prepared the Detail bills, Interim Bills and Cumulative Bills of all Sub Contractors after each job was completed
• Recorded and Maintained all variations in drawings and informed the Project Manager and Client of all the changes made
• Engaged with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout the construction phase, leading meetings and meticulously maintaining records of minutes, site instructions, and relevant documentation
• Ensured to Site Safety is maintained to the highest standard by instructing the site safety team to install safety decks and safety nets around the site
• Monitored the work of sub contractors to make sure the wastage of materials was minimum and highest standard of work was achieved
• Identified the delay items, concurrent delays, and sub-contractors delays and prepared the Notice of Delays and other contractual letters and submit the relevant parties
• Monitored the procurement schedule and purchased the required material to the site following the master program and per the critical path

Worked as an Assistant Site Engineer at Construction Site Located at 450, R.A DE.MEL Mawatha Colombo 03, which is a 12 Level Commercial Building Project with a Buildable area of 54000 sq.ft. The building was to be rented out as offices spaces post construction and consisted of two hydraulic car lifts, raised floor system and double glazed glass embeded in Aluminium frames as the cover of the building

• Reviewed engineering drawings for accuracy and consistency with Architect and Structural Engineer, before sharing them with field personnel to avoid misinterpretation during execution stages.
• Oversaw the construction and execution of deep foundation type of 40 bored piles, excavation, PDA Tests and confirming Pile Cut off levels on site with reference to levels provided by Structural Engineer
• Assisted Project Engineer with Preparing Project Program, Look ahead program and monitoring ongoing work with Project Program to avoid delays
• Organized daily work schedules for subcontractors, facilitating efficient utilization of resources
• Construction Supervision of Excavation in Stages for Basement Construction
• Construction Supervision for laying screed foundation for pile cap construction
• Construction Supervision during reinforcement stage of Pile Cap construction

• Coordinating with Formwork Sub Contractors to ensure accurate beam levels, column setting out, slab level and stairway position is satisfied according to architectural drawings
