Currently doing volunteer work at Mecwacare Age care.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Having one-on-one sessions with residents to provide emotional support and companionship.
  • Assisting residents with recreational activities such as Zumba, dance, singing, gentle exercise, and walks.
  • Facilitating engagement in leisure activities including colouring, playing cards, puzzles, and Connect Four.
  • Reading books, newspapers, and letters to elderly residents to support their cognitive stimulation and wellbeing.
  • Helping in the organisation and setup of birthdays, cultural celebrations, and significant events.
  • Encouraging social interaction among residents to reduce loneliness and promote social wellbeing.
  • Observing residents’ responses during activities and reporting any concerns to staff when needed.
