  • Brosa is a digital-first vertically integrated retailer and is the fastest growing brand in the home and furniture category in Australia. It was acquired by Kogan (ASX: KGN) in Dec 2022.
  • Member of executive team reporting as furniture brand of choice for urban Australians growing annual revenue by 5x from 1 to 100M AUD. This was done through re-imagining brand’s look and feel, revamping merchandise strategy as well as expanding and reconfiguring our marketing channel mix.
  • Repositioned and established Brosa as furniture brand of choice for urban Australians growing annual revenue by 5x from $15 Million to $75 Million AUD. This was done through re-imagining brand’s look and feel, revamping merchandise strategy as well as expanding and reconfiguring our marketing channel mix.
  • Re-hauled merchandise strategy and pivoted from long tail driven made to order catalog (~8000 SKUs) of traditional designs to sharp curated range (~1500 SKUs) of ready to ship on-trend designs.
  • Continuously evolved pricing and promotional strategy to stay in line with market demands driving growth in gross margin of 4x in 4 years in times of unprecedented supply chain cost pressures.
  • Consolidated manufacturing base and deepened partnership with core set of manufacturing partners to enable a blended made to order + made to stock program that contributed to revenue growth with lead time for customers reducing from 12 to 4 weeks with 45 days of inventory holding and enabled through extended credit terms.
  • Led Brand Refresh project working with leading creative agencies to enable us to craft brand value proposition and look and feel that was aligned to talking to 25-45 year old Urban Australians and roll out across all customer touch points.
  • Increased brand awareness by > 2x through a comprehensive influencer marketing program working with renowned celebrities including Anna Heinrich and Diana Chan coupled with strategic brand activations including sponsorship of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival 2022.
  • Setup an in-house digital marketing function with SEO, SEM, Email and Social Media. Grew sessions from 250k/month->1.3M/month keeping CVR steady.
  • Built a high-performing 50+ member team spanning Marketing (Brand + Performance), Category/Merchandising, Buying, Planning, Sourcing, Quality and Visual Merchandising based in Melbourne, China, India, Russia, and Philippines.

  • Setup brand look and feel, product catalog and manufacturing base.
  • Devised and implemented India’s first furniture durability certification- “FurniSure” working with cross-functional internal teams (Marketing, Category, Operations) as well as external stakeholders (Suppliers, Quality Certification Agencies).

  • Member of founding team reporting to CEO and Founder, leading Category Management/Buying (Range, Pricing, P&L), Product Design and Development, Consumer Research, Sourcing, Quality and Planning functions.
  • Grew the product portfolio from 40 SKUs -> 4000+ SKUS; $50 Million USD/Annum.
  • Managing annual buying budget of $20 Million USD/Annum, drove down inventory holding from 100+ days to 45 days while improving availability of bestsellers by implementing TOC with Goldratt Consulting.
  • Built global sourcing network of 60+ partners in 7 countries with capabilities spread across all key furniture and décor categories.
  • Scaled team from only 2 quality inspectors and 1 designer to ~60 strong (8 direct reports) across Buying, Design, Sourcing (Further divided by geography), Inventory Planning, Quality and Purchase.
