Sailing, singing and baseball
- I've sailed solo since I was four and my family owns a boat-building company. Over the years I've spent more time on the ocean than on land. I've done two Sydney to Hobart's, and the last one I did convinced me I won't be doing another.
- Singing is in my soul, my parents met while singing and I paid my way through university singing in bands. Singing is also part of my Maori heritage and therefore part of me!
- I'm involved in baseball because my son has just started playing. I played softball for twenty years at a representative and National level. I've coached the Australian under nineteen men at the International Friendship Series. These days I'm working hard on being a spectator, and keeping quiet on the sideline.
