Accomplishments

As a committed teacher I have found that in re-discovering the skills of teaching drama over the past eighteen months I have also discovered the need to extend the Performing Arts further. I see the possibilities of developing curriculum to reflect subjects like History or English Literature. I see the need to incorporate performances of secondary students for primary students and the possibility of community performance nights.

Although my accomplishments have been limited by the nature of my part-time employment and with approaching view of retirement I have maintained enough professional development to enable my teaching to contemporary.

I have previously directed school productions as well as been a performer in various settings. I have a good grasp on much of the developing digital aspects of creative arts both in design and music, having taught these subjects at Bayside Christian College and developing them in my own private hobby space.

Additional Information

I love working at Bayside Christian College and have a strong rapport with the students. With my wife working in the E.L.C. and my current employment as a C.R.T I move around the various year groups on multi-levels. This all feeds into my current role as Performing Arts and Music Elective teacher. The friendly familiarity that God has given me, makes witnessing and referring to the qualities that a personal relationship with Jesus creates, a wonderful addition to my employment. I would like to continue in that role.
