- Over the past twenty years, living in various locations I have involved myself in developing gardens, carpentry and house maintenance, musical instrument building and various tasks required to improve and maintain my property in Alexandra, Victoria.
- At a previous worksite, the Dame Pattie Menzies Centre (disability service) in Alexandra, I was involved in various maintenance activities as it was a small farm - such as garden maintenance/construction. This we did with the involvement of our participants.
- My own property work was specifically: internal repairs to doors, plaster & painting, exterior cladding, roofing, fitting in water tanks, creating foundations, small pergola and stairs fitting, building an annexed car port, laying a crushed rock drive way, ordering/painting/fitting 6 foot pickets for a front fence, letterbox fit, gate fittings placed, replacing warn or damaged timbers, fitting underfloor insulation, dismantling hot water service, taking waste to tip
- Specifically to garden: maintaining large gardens, removing fallen trees, planting new beds, maintaining lawns, weed removal, edging mulching etc, pruning of shrubs and trees, and waste removal, companion planting
- Maintaining a local account with timber and hardware supplies in local town - acquiring quotations for work required.

- Provided timely transportation of diverse physical and intellectually disabled participants to day programs, healthcare facilities, community centres, families and carers.
- Coordinate rosters for collection/return of participants using Alkira transport service, liaise with carers and staff regarding specific and individual advice per participant, interact with diverse team members for the safe, timely and positive completion of this task including documentation/information requirements.
- Maintain Alkira Fleet by using a variety of service technicians for diverse needs, acquiring quotes for repairs or new vehicles, using a hands on approach for general maintenance of fleet where possible, liaising with Alkira staff regarding any issues arising for fleet, understanding the variety of our vehicles and their idiosyncratic details,
- Resolved maintenance and repair issues for vehicles and equipment.
- Identified appropriate travel routes in accordance with applicable traffic and applying sensitivity to our passengers, keeping within Alkira policy and procedures, regulations, protocols and guidelines.
- Researched affordable transportation methods and performed safety audits on equipment including first aid kits, spill kits or kylie mats etc - keeping vehicle clean and noting any defects for repair such as upholstery repairs etc
- Coordinated dispatching of 5 drivers to accomplish daily delivery requirements, hold formal and informal meetings with drivers for feedback and review, assist with recruitment, report to supervisor.
- Managed and updated database detailing important information, use computer systems with ease, practice storage of information according to Alkira policy
- Interact with colleagues and participants in a positive manner, fulfill all training and development.
