- My current job is for Aldi the grocery chain
- After getting used to the money I earned covering maternity back at Holland and Barrett I needed a new challenge that matched the pay so Aldi was my next natural step
- Using my retail experience and eager personality I soon got comfortable with working stock and serving customers at a fast pace
- I’ve travelled and worked in various stores around the area to gain experience elsewhere and to see how it works in other departments.

- After having such good rapport with the area management for the company having worked with them in the past I was offered a role as assistant manager for the Shrewsbury branch which was too good an opportunity to miss
- This was to cover maternity
- My role was to open and close the store in the absence of the store manager, cash handling, dealing with any potential issues that may arise and the training of junior members of staff.

- I started working at Spar Ludlow just before the corona virus pandemic took hold
- I’m pleased to say I worked the whole way through each lockdown, serving on the till and keeping the shop stocked and working through deliveries almost daily
- I also would help out during busy periods in the subway at the back of the store as I had previous experience working for the subway franchise which I always enjoyed.
