I was raised to appreciate hard work and integrity and I strive to perform to the best of my ability at all times. I value reliability and responsibility in the work place and believe in maintaining a positive attitude towards my work.
My role requires me to deliver to customers' homes. When I am not delivering, I am responsible for taking orders over the phone and counter, in addition to cleaning and assisting in the management of ovens and the replenishing of stock.
I began in this job as a kitchen hand, where my primary roles were cleaning dishes, freezer rooms, floors and benches, to ensure smooth operation during service hours. I was later promoted to pizza chef, where I was trained in each element of pizza making. As the restaurant was a busy premises, I was required to work quickly and efficiently, multitasking and working alongside chefs.
As a cook, I was required to maintain cooked product levels throughout the day, by staying proactive in cooking ahead of time. This meant that I had to multitask in watching our sales, production line and cookers, in between breading chicken and maintaining a hygienic workspace. Throughout my employment, I aimed to become competent in as many skills as possible, leading me to assist in customer service and across the production line.
