I am a very motivated person I enjoy having something to do and go towards. My time working my way up at Tonrose has taught me lots of life skills. I enjoy getting a job done and can easily work in a team or on my own I can take orders as well as solve a problem myself. I get on with people really well and really enjoy the customer service side. I feel I can put my hand to most tasks and I will try and help anyone the best I can. I have a good work ethic and always put that extra bit more in.

My role as a store assistant would include, working on the tills and serving customers, doing refunds, handling cash, i enjoyed this part of the job i like chatting with the customers. We would run load on the morning shifts restocking shelf's and getting the store ready for the day. When i was off tills i would make sure the store was looking its best and help customers with anything they needed. We was a fast paced store so working as a team to make sure all jobs were completed was a big part of it.

My role was making fibre hybrid cable on different parts of the assembly line within my time at the company i had learned to run all parts on the line working on my own and as part of a team on some stations. I would often show new starters jobs on the line. Keeping the line clean and tidy was a big part of the job to make sure the fibre was not damaged and a good eye for detail was needed to make sure the cable was in good working order.

In November 2019 the company i worked for lost a few contracts. As manager of the warehouse i was asked to make redundancy's within my team. I felt i wanted to take a new path and have sometime away so asked if i could take voluntary redundancy it was a big part of my life to leave behind and years of hard work but felt i needed a new chapter. I decided to visit family in Australia and take time to see what the next steps of my life would be. I took a lot away from them 6 months the biggest one I knew I wanted to be in Australia. I went back to the UK in June 2020 and went on a Barbering course. I really enjoyed learning a new skill and being out my comfort zone, I loved talking with clients and finding out people’s stories, I also made great friendships with the other trainees and still keep in contact to this day.
My time as warehouse manager I made a strong team around myself helping them grow their own skills. I was involved in a new full system for the company helping set it all up, looking in to savings that the company could make working close with my MD, working along side ISO and getting the company up to standards, working on health and safety and security for the building, looking after the company vehicles. I was also involved in the move of our sister company from London to our warehouse and employing staff to run that warehouse. I would run the stocktakes for both company's working with our account's team on the value of stock.

My time as a warehouse supervisor, my tasks would include setting jobs out for the staff making sure that stock was away and booked in on the system, booking holidays on the system and making sure we had enough staff members to cover the daily tasks. I was also a trusted key holder and would attend any alarm call outs. I would work close with my manager to make sure the health and safety was up to standards, make sure that wagons were loaded with the correct orders and left on time, working with the transport to make sure we had wagons for the next day deliveries. I would work close with the staff on the shop floor making sure everything ran smoothly for the day, I would often take our van delivery's out at a weekend if we were short staffed.
In 2005 I join the Army and started my infantry training at Catterick garrison. This was 6 months of training where we took on marching drills, map reading, combat drills, rifle drills. We worked as team and this is something I liked we had 12 lads in one room so would go through some great highs and some lows but we worked and helped each other out making sure our kits was to the top standard for inspection. Unfortunately 2 weeks before I was due to pass off I picked up an in injury and decided not to carry on. I made great friends that I am still in contact with from all over the world and them 6 months taught me great life skills that I still carry with me now.
My role at the start was to work in a team unloading containers and putting stock onto pallets. I then worked my way up to picking orders on low racking spaces these were small orders or sample orders. After seeing i could do the job they put me through my FLT training and moved me on to the bigger pallet orders and loading the wagons in the yard and putting stock away in to the racking. I would take part in the yearly stock take getting the warehouse ready for counting over the weekend. I also would train new staff in the running of the warehouse and show them how to pick orders.
