- My role at pulse locating was to drive a manual truck to multiple locations around Perth city. The work itself was digging holes with the vacuum on the truck to find gas+water mains etc. This involved constantly positioning the truck in correct positions, working under my own initiative and driving a truck in the city in multiple places during peak traffic times etc

- Fully rebuilding crushing machines
- Crushers would be brought in from the site or bought at auctions with multiple problems; these would be stripped down to the bare frames, sometimes due to bent frames. With new parts/repairing bent frames we would build the machines back up again, my main role was assisting the main fitter. Examples of this would've been getting/handing them tools needed, slinging parts to lift off, changing belts, measuring new hydraulic pipes and putting the correct fittings on, pretty much assisting them all the time with bolting/ unbolting parts etc. We would also be on site changing bearings, hydraulic rams etc

- Company Overview: MFE Electrical had a contract with Aldi in Ireland, to complete all the stores in Ireland, rewire any renovations and maintenance on current stores.
- Joined this company as I liked the idea of going to different places everywhere few weeks and staying away for 1-2 weeks doing 13 hour shifts every day.
- I really grew a lot of experience in industrial work doing this as I was at the point I was able to use the drawings and work away myself.

- Started off on industrial jobs, changed to domestic for a few months, houses etc, then subbed into Ohara and Harrison back on industrial jobs such as Garda stations and hospitals.
- This was perfect as I was learning as I got a good understanding of both domestic and industrial work and being paired with my boss [Niall] who was an electrician for 23 years as I was his only employee.
