Ryan Morrissey

I am a motivated, compassionate and dedicated individual with a big passion to work with children and support students in their learning and development. I am currently studying a Bachelor of teaching (K-12) degree at CSU and I am committed to building a career in education where I can make a positive difference in young children's lives. An SLSO position is very appealing to me as it will help provide an opportunity to work with children in need, supporting their individual learning needs and help contribute and create a positive learning environment for the students. I love helping students achieve their desired goals, building positive relationships and encouraging students to develop confidence in their abilities. Through my teaching studies, over the past 2 and a half years I have developed an understanding of educational practices, student wellbeing and enabling effective communication skills. I believe this SLSO role would help allow me to further develop skills while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a primary school-setting. I have prior experience in a SLSO role as I am a SLSO at Bathurst High Campus, but gaining experience in a primary school setting is another thing I want to do. I am enthusiastic about contributing to the school community, supporting teachers and students and continuing to grow as a future educator.
