Summary

Passionate and multi-talented educator with extensive experience teaching Mathematics, Science, and Music, currently employed at Burpengary Secondary State College. Alongside my core teaching responsibilities, I lead the extracurricular music program for beginning musicians, fostering their confidence, skill development, and creative expression. With formal qualifications including a Bachelor of Popular Music and a Graduate Diploma of Education, I bring both academic expertise and practical musicianship to my teaching.

As an advanced guitarist with classical training in guitar and music theory, I have a strong foundation in technique and pedagogy. My professional experience extends to playing bass guitar, performing in bands, working as a solo artist, songwriting, and singing. These skills allow me to connect with students across a broad range of musical genres and levels of experience. My ability to teach multiple instruments and vocal techniques complements Northpine Christian College’s vision of cultivating students' God-given talents through enriching and diverse musical experiences.

Driven by a commitment to holistic education, I align with Northpine’s mission to nurture academic excellence and spiritual growth in a Christ-centered community. My teaching philosophy emphasizes creativity, self-expression, and the development of individual strengths, creating a safe and inspiring environment where students can thrive both academically and personally. I strive to instill in students a love for learning and a deep appreciation for the power of music as a means of worship and self-discovery.
