I completed the remainder of my apprenticeship through Savaria Australia on the 30th of May, 2025.
With Savaria, I have gained extensive experience in electrical, mechanical, and leadership based work.
In my role as an electrical/lift technician, I have had opportunities in service work, installation, and site inspections. This work includes experiences such as complex problem-solving in electrical circuits, interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics, communicating with clients to provide a trusting relationship with the company, and correlating with builders and their schedules.
At Savaria, safety and teamwork are a priority. Leading an apprentice, as well as overseeing other teams on site, is another skill that I have developed over time.
Apprentice Electrician
All One Electrical
Brisbane, QLD
07.2020 - 05.2023
During my first year at All One Electrical, I spent time working under the supervision of multiple mentors. I was mostly learning how to terminate and install electrical equipment within the parameters of the AS3000, while also understanding the responsibilities of my role within the company.
In my second year, I learned more about how to interpret plans related to both the electrical and building industries. I had to take a lot more responsibility in decision-making and following standards of electrical installation.
In my third year, I began to be more independent and deal with jobs and clients mostly on my own, or under minimal supervision. I conversed more with site supervisors and different clients to develop an understanding of how sites operate, and also how to deliver great client service within the industry.
