  • I support with the office set up. Support with implementing the organization work plan according to the approved budget. Manage incoming phone calls and all
    correspondences then take and distribute messages to people concerned.
  • Prepare necessary documents, reports, and
    correspondences. Assist with international consultants’ visa applications and work permits. Attend to clients, donors, and stakeholders. File, copy and retrieve documents when requested. Ensure important documents are kept and stored/ filed in a proper place.
  • Manage office’s appointments and coordinate meetings. Monitor and maintain office supplies and stationery. Ensure office equipment are properly maintained and serviced. Perform work related errands as and when needed. Perform procurement and perform logistic support for the office. Make sure office area clean and tidy at all times.   • I started with Norwegian People’s Aid as the Assistant Logistics Officer/Cashier, assisting with all procurement processes, arranging travels, do bank withdrawals and
    handling of organizational petty cash records, balance acquittals and do petty cash payments.
  • In January of 2021 I was then promoted to the position of Finance Officer and my role was to review and approve payroll before processing, preparing weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management. Ensuring staff salary deductions are done correctly and remitted in a timely manner. Reconciles promptly and accurately GL accounts related
    to payroll (e.g., tax payments, Health, and Life insurance payments).
  • I worked as a Finance Officer for 6 months
    until the project closed on the 30th of June 2021 due to some unforeseen circumstances.
