  • I have been leading the projects of novel innovation in oat processing and new product development project in AEGIC with a focus on nutrition, shelf life, eating qualities, processing efficiency and sustainability. My work has helped drive the development of new, innovative oat products, such as oat noodles, oat “rice” and other concept foods to help move Australian oats beyond the breakfast table to becoming a premium option for lunch, dinner and snacks with better consumer appeal. Currently, I am supporting our industry partner to commercialise some of these products.
  • My role in AEGIC also includes providing technical market support and communicating research findings. I have successfully conducted multiple educational webinars and presented in seminars, conducted technical exchange workshops with domestic and international industry/academic collaborators and given media interviews to communicate our work on innovation with Australian oats.
