This includes modernizing signaling systems, enhancing communication infrastructure, and implementing advanced control systems. The project focuses on optimizing train operations, reducing delays, and improving overall rail performance while ensuring seamless integration of existing rail infrastructure with new technologies. Webb Street Level Crossing Removals, 05/01/22, 09/30/23, This project is to remove Webb Street level crossing and build a new station, relocate the DTRS building and build a new tower, and relocate the ABMS which is highly sensitive measurement system that collects the acoustic signature of each bearing of a passing train at Pakenham line, as well as upgrading the signaling system and railway system in general. Port Rail Shuttle Network (PRSN), 05/01/22, 09/30/23, This project is to build a new route for trains coming in and out of port Melbourne to the existing network. Cranbourne Line Upgrade (CLU), 03/05/21, 05/01/22, The project was to remove 3 x level crossings and upgrade Camm's road level crossing as well as duplicating the rail and upgrading the signaling system over Cranbourne line.
