• Provision of direct nursing care to residents.

• Liaison with and delegation of clinical care requirements of residents to the care staff team.

• Liaison with doctors and other health professionals regarding technical nursing procedures.

• Attending ongoing assessments and reviews of residents and their care plans in consultation with the Registered Nurse and other care staff.

• Provide clinical support to visiting health professionals attending the Doctors Clinic.

• Being proactive in encouraging residents’ independence and the provision of holistic care.

• Following the organisation’s policies and procedures, working with the care staff team to comply with these policies and procedures, and providing feedback to management on the development of the organisation’s policies and procedures.

• Assisting the facility to maintain compliance within all legislations and accepted professional guidelines and practices, including industrial, occupational health and safety, infection control and risk management.

• Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional development.

• Establish good inter-personal relationship with residents and visitors through clear communication and empathy
• Assisted with patient hygiene, physical comfort, eating, and drinking, and mobility while observing and reporting specific changes.
• Safe transfer and positioning of residents using manual handling
• Delivered high standard of holistic care to patients to promote equality and dignity.
• Cared for clients with diagnoses such as Dementia, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, Coronary and heart disease, stroke and various mental illness such as Schizophrenia, Depression, Paranoia and Bipolar disorder.
• Record and document necessary data of residents as needed
• Help residents manage pain through non-pharmacological and pharmacological methods under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
• Upheld infection control and prevention policies across different patient-facing areas, especially during COVID outbreak,
• Recognized and understood specific stages of dying process, providing comfort-based care during vulnerable times.
