Supervision of detainees in state detention facility
Ensuring the safe imprisonment of detainees, managing conflict between detainees, and reporting all inappropriate behaviour to the appropriate management team
Carry out all detention management functions in accordance with legislation, and established policies and procedures, including preparing routine correspondence, attendance registers, creation of reports and other administrative tasks while ensuring appropriate follow-up action is required
Acting as first point of contact for detainees entering custody, ensuring that they are safely managed and accommodated in the most suitable surroundings for their needs
Working closely with a range of key professionals including health care providers, mental health staff, interpreters and solicitors
Providing a kind and non-judgemental ear to those in need, accessing or signposting them to appropriate sources of support
Observations and case notes on detainees mental health, physical health and report all matters of concern to appropriate stakeholders
Ensuring the security and safety of detainees from diverse backgrounds in whilst their immigration pathway is being determined.
