I have been lucky enough to be a surf mentor volunteer one 8-week program so far, which has seen me engage in conversations around mental health and wellbeing with a group of women, facilitated by a mental health clinician.
This role has exposed me to an innovative approach to mental health support that merges group therapy, primarily grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), with the therapeutic benefits of the outdoors.
