With 26 years of dedicated experience in youth soccer development and senior football coaching with both male & females, I bring a wealth of expertise in coaching, mentoring, and fostering a passion for the game among young athletes.
Throughout my career, I have been privileged to work with diverse groups of players, from grassroots levels to elite youth academies. My approach emphasises not only technical skill development but also the importance of teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship. I believe in creating a positive and supportive environment where players can thrive both on and off the field.

The Director of Junior Football is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the club’s junior football programs (male and female), spanning from grassroots through to U16 JDL and U18 JCL. The primary focus is player development in alignment with the club’s football philosophy and pathway to senior football
1. Player Development
• Deliver structured development plans for each age group within 8 weeks of appointment.
• Conduct biannual player reviews (mid-season and end-of-season) for U13+ JDL squads.
2. Coach Development
• Ensure all junior coaches are accredited (minimum FFA C-License for JDL).
• Host at least 3 coaching workshops per year for JDL coaches, with potential senior team input.
• Conduct biannual performance reviews for all junior coaches.
3. Program Delivery
• Deliver minimum two SAP or holiday clinics per year with sufficient registration levels.
• Provide a preseason training plan and full season calendar within 6 weeks of appointment.
4. Recruitment & Retention
• Target 60–90% retention in U13+ JDL squads annually, noting JCL’s community variability.
• Scout and recruit players in consultation with senior coaches.
5. Club Culture & Communication
• Promote inclusiveness and connection between juniors and seniors.
• Respond to internal communication within 48 hours.
