I am seeking enrichment from a position that will provide a valued learning experience through engagement within the workforce. I am currently studying at QUT in a bachelor of design - landscape architecture. I have a great enthusiasm for the outdoors and value the connection between people and their outdoor experiences.
I have experience catching multiple big Barramundi over the meter mark in CQ and FNQ as well as multiple Cod up to the meter mark. I also have experience with the local fishing around SEQ. This experience has provided a great understanding and knowledge of gear and brands that a qualified fishing salesperson should know to help the most experienced fisherman or someone just starting out. I also have a history with 4WDs and car camping as well as extensive hiking trips camping in the bush. It would be a highly valued opportunity to learn and gain industry experience working as part of your team.
My fishing journey has been very hands on and practical, helping me form a deep understanding within the hobby and a broad range of knowledge within the field. I'm passionate about sharing and collating with people so they too can experience some of the amazing fishing I have, while also developing my own knowledge within the work force.
I have fished most of SEQ from bream on affordable setups to Cod or expensive custom made gear, this means I know the value of good gear and can sell quality fishing gear. I have done multiple fishing trips up north to the Whitsundays chasing barramundi and saltwater reef species, spending three weeks each time up there, a couple times every year. These big trips have given me the opportunity to experience 4wd touring setups people can use and insight into affective camping solutions available.
My time on the water has given me the opportunity to talk and fish with local fishos and test new lure designs further establishing my connections to the fishing hobby.
