Summary

One of the main reasons I applied to join NTPFES as a Police Auxiliary back in 2017 was always with the goal and drive to become a career Fire Fighter or an operational frontline Police Officer. Since then, I have advanced in my role and am currently proficient in all areas of the JESCC being (call taker, Police and Fire dispatcher). Overtime I have become more interested in pursuing a careering in the Fire service.

I'm constantly motivated to expand on my skill set and have recently started training as a volunteer at the Howard Springs Brigade whilst waiting for a recruit course to commence. I consider my current understanding of how the call taking/ dispatch process works before and after the information is received as a benefit too myself as well as the other members around me. Joining the NTFRS and working outside in the community is the vision I have for my long-term future.

I was born and raised in the Northern Territory and my personal passion is for traveling and visiting new places. Whilst attending school at Palmerston Senior College in 2015 I was fortunate enough to take part in a 2 yearlong NTPFES cadet program which I graduated from in 2017. During 2016 as part of the cadet programs community engagement course I was welcomed into Daly River Community for a week and had the opportunity to take part in local traditional activities and also gained a valuable understanding of the views of well-respected community members. I'm approaching the 5-year mark as a Police Auxiliary and am interested to see where the career will take me/ what challenges I will face in the future.
