  • Initially starting as housekeeping attendant, I quickly transitioned into a supervisor role in June as my communication and leadership skills were recognised
  • As supervisor it was my duty to ensure that members of the housekeeping teams were maintaining the resort's high standards, whilst adhering to strict time restrictions
  • This role called upon my communication and leadership skills as I coordinated with upper management and also general staff the day-to-day requirements and expectations.

Sports Coach

Exsportise Summer School
08.2022 - 09.2022
  • As an Exsportise Sports Coach I was responsible for the progression in ability of children aged 9-16 in football, basketball, tennis and volleyball
  • With class sizes ranging from 4 - 36 participants
  • In each sports session I would need to adapt my coaching methods in order to cater to both individual and group needs
  • The children's varying ages, athletic and technical ability played into these adaptations
  • This role required strong communication skills, rapport building and adaptability.

Specialist Recruitment Consultant

Penguin Recruitment
09.2021 - 07.2022
  • As a Recruitment Consultant I specialised in placing Civil And Structural engineers
  • I would work with candidates from Graduate through to Director level roles across the United Kingdom
  • I had to liaise with both candidates and clients in order to come to an understanding of their exact requirements
  • Once I identified a good match between said candidates and clients, I would then manage the interview process
  • This 360 recruitment process requires a strong organisational capacity, as I would manage all aspects of the hiring process, from sourcing through to onboarding
  • I would also write three tailored job ads daily to post on job boards to advertise for roles I had either picked up through client calls, or been assigned from existing clients
  • In my time at Penguin I hit my monthly billing targets ,these incrementally increased the longer I was at the company, by my fourth month this was £9,000 a month
  • Other KPI's I was required to hit after probation were 5 interviews a week and 20-25 outgoing calls per day
  • Having developed my writing skills at university, email formats which I created email templates for new staff members to use. An example of this was an email response I created to combat counter-offers
  • This role required tenacity as well as fluency in interpersonal communication, sales and negotiations.

04.2018 - 09.2020
  • Strawberry Marquees is a privately owned business supplying multi-shaped marquees for festivals, weddings, corporate, religious, and other events across the South East of England
  • The turnaround time to erect or dismantle is brief, but the health and safety requirements regarding the welfare and security of both the staff and visitors are stringent and there is no compromise
  • A challenge as team lead was to motivate th team
  • The work was hard, physical and was often in inclement weather over long working days
  • A typical team can be five to ten, depending on complexity, time-allowed etc
  • The customer and the business owner occasionally miscommunicated their plans, so it was important to be able to win back confidence in the business and deliver above the expectations.

  • Whilst travelling in Japan, I operated as a Ski Instructor taking responsibility for the welfare and skill progression for groups of various ages and abilities

  • I taught both adults and children through a step-by-step learning curve, which I adapted to fit each customer's individual needs according to their expectations and fears
  • I learnt how to teach whilst in Japan, highlighting my ability to learn new skills quickly and effectively in unfamiliar surroundings.

Projects

Young Enterprise Scheme

At 6th Form College I was part of the ‘Young Enterprise Scheme’. The scheme itself was created to promote entrepreneurship in students to give young people an opportunity to design, create and sell their own product. I led a team of six fellow students at the end of the year in a district wide competition. At the showcase event we presented our product and experiences on stage to local businessmen. This increased my confidence in leadership, presenting and entrepreneurship.

Extracurricular Activities

College Rugby Representative

As a member of my school rugby team I was elected as Rugby Representatives of Steyning Grammar 6th Form College. In this role I organised and ran regular socials for the squad and played a role in designing and distribution of the new kit.

Steyning Grammar School Student Representative

As an outgoing and warm personality I was chosen to be one of a select group of students to represent the school and college in tours of the grounds.

Swansea Snowriders Committee

Whilst attending University I quickly assimilated into the Ski & Snowboard Society. As an avid skier and personable character, I played key roles in organising the annual ski holidays to Europe. I would also regularly organise weekly social events for the committee in order to enhance University students experiences. I did this with the intent to engage existing members, whilst simultaneously growing the committee by recruiting new students.

Hobbies and Interests
