NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, in a busy Acute Surgical Receiving Unit. I word well within my team and i am competent to perform all the tasks, duties and responsibilities of my band 3 job description, always reporting effectively to the appropriate person within the multi disciplinary team. I understand the importance of maintaining current knowledge and skills, I complete all online training modules.   Glucometer, Stoma bag care and changing, Cannula removal, Pressure area care, Minor wound dressings, Urinalysis, Catheter Care
  
  Preparation and Management of the health care environment and equipment used e.g. hoist, stand aid etc
  
  Perform moving and handling tasks relating to risk assessed patients, supplies, equipment, beds and patient trolleys
  
  Attend to all activities of daily living including hygiene, toilet assistance and assessed care needs.
  
  Complete Documentation: Fluid charts, care rounding, stool charts, food charts, height and weight.

I worked as a care worker on a one-to-one basis with Enable Scotland, I work autonomously withing the devised plan of care to provide a safe, quality life for my client. I have developed strategies for communication, distraction and interaction in order to maintain as happy and healthy a life as possible for her.

• Tasks included:
• Ensured safety of patients by monitoring environment and responding promptly to any emergency situations that may arise.
