I was born and grew up in Liverpool in the UK, completing my education and working for a number of years in plastics injection moulding. I worked for Aqua Cure Precision Plastics Injection Moulders, Huyton, Liverpool. Aqua Cure supplied Western Australia with plastics material for the Pluto Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Project, Northern Carnarvon Basin. I moved to Australia to live and work in February 2010. I stayed first in Canberra ACT and then Tasmania, working in a mix of rural services roles in vineyards, hospitality roles in hotels and historic properties, as well as P.A. work, Housekeeping Management and childcare roles including as a live-in nanny for the co-founder of VirginBlue and Virgin Airways, at his large, historic estate.
I have travelled to 122 countries; being Novaturient is what motivated my travelling. Experiencing new cultures has markedly reshaped my life, and bringing the experiences to all aspects of myself has given me the growth and understanding of diversity.
I am hard working and show lots of initiative in my work, picking up new skills quickly and adapting well to most environments. I previously was a Semi-Professional Boxer in the UK, so I am disciplined and focused.
In my spare time I have volunteered with asylum seekers in South Australia, whom arrived in Australia from Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq. I taught English and in turn learned their cultures and languages. My voluntary contributions have helped to facilitate community integration, with one member of the group now a successful business owner; last we spoke he was building his 4th home.
