Work History

Graduate Piping Engineer

Worley
07.2022 - Current
  • Analyzed site and inspection data using IM Connect, JIRA and SAP4HANA, proposed suitable solutions to remediate the corrosion defects with the consideration of risks and business intent, i.e evaluate long term / interim fixes during non-shut down window
  • Liaised with Engineering Composite Wrap vendor and reviewed vendor detailed drawings and calculations to ensure they comply with ISO 24817
  • Maximize activities to be carried out during non-shutdown period and provide mitigation or interim fixes as required
  • Collaborated with other disciplines and asset manager to provide clarity on the shutdown window and should defects cannot be remediated shall be handed over to system owner
  • Developed jobcard for the construction team to execute the repair
  • Proficient in AVEVA ERM software to raise requisitions for piping and mechanical items, such as piping bulks, couplings, valves, pipe supports, lubricants
  • Performed quality check on ISOs, PEFS, flange checklist and demolition sketch to ensure smooth execution process
  • Acquired knowledge in bidding process, technical bidding evaluation and technical clarification register prior to valve procurement
  • Understood the WEL specifications and standards to ensure correct materials and coating standards are applied on valves and piping and suitable pipe supports to be installed
  • Acquired knowledge in ASME B31.3, AS4020 and WEL Standards to assist with technical queries from vendors to provide acceptable corrective actions
  • Organized and led vendor weekly meetings to clarify any technical or commercial queries, inform any foreseen delays and making sure all parties involved are in alignment to meet the project milestones
  • Co-ordinated with vendors, multi-discipline engineers and project engineer in resolving queries on technical, commercial and schedule aspects
  • Familiarized with the vendors deliverables, standard procedures and QA/QC requirements, i.e ITP and sequence of activities, including pump performance test expectations which need to meet the required specification prior to dispatch to site, providing material certifications for critical pump components and ensuring the handling, storing, preserving and transporting of pumps are compliant with the standards
  • Assisted in providing pump drawings and specifications approvals throughout the pump manufacturing cycle as modifications are made on the on-shelf pumps
  • Aware of the severity of NCR when procedures and standards are not complied to as it breaches the purpose of delivering a quality service to the client
  • Integrated conflicting comments from multi-disciplines to ensure vendor clearly understood the requirements and expectations without multiples of reviews or updates
  • Raised ChemAlert for new lubricants to ensure toxic and harmful chemicals are not introduced onsite

Mechanical/Piping Engineering Intern

Worley
11.2021 - 02.2022
  • Developed and corroborated mechanical design deliverables such as Materials Take Off, Manufacture Data Reports and Key Document Change Request
  • Adopted organisational skills – data management such as gathering, organizing, compiling data from various workflow processes
  • Honed Microsoft excel skills to expedite the process of collating information for Tag to Doc Register and Key Items Lists of valves and pipe spool numberings for fabrication and delivery purposes
  • Interfaced with other disciplines to ensure the accuracy and alignment of data quality
  • Refined and updated the Deluge valve systems report, P&ID, Process & Engineering Flow Scheme (PEFS) and General Arrangement Drawings (GAs)
  • Reviewed and conducted assurance check on the piping systems from Navisworks software against P&ID and PEFS drawings
  • Ensure the engineering specifications are in compliance with the international standards such as ASME and API standards
  • Apprehended of the Risk Assessment Matrix and Project Life Cycle of the company
  • Modified and verified the major technical parameters of drive components (motors, reducer, brake, holdback, high and low speed coupling) against the project requirements prior to procurement
  • Optimized the design of hood areas of the dust extraction systems to minimize vortex formation for the safe working environment of the front-line workers
  • Constructed a sample conveyor belt design using Sidewinder software to provide a safe, sustainable and cost competitive system
