Currently a Community Support worker working with people with a disability to achieve their goals within the community and also gain a sense of independence. I have been in this role for 8 years and while I love it, I feel like I would like to opportunity to grow as person and pursue a different career within the court system or NSW Sheriff Office.
My previous work experience includes Steward in the Australian Army until my role become obsolete. I did my training to become a Cook and continued to work in the Army as a reservists until 2018.
In 2012 i studied for my Certificate IV in fitness and worked at Stayfit 24/7 as a gym reception and Personal Trainer. I was responsible for the running of the gym from all admin, ordering, membership consults and cleaning. My love for fitness and helping people led to my role as a coach at F45 Penrith. I instructed the class and gave advise to members throughout their workout to correct form and get the best out of themselves.
An opportunity arose to work over in the USA with adults with disabilities for a summer camp and that was segway into the disability industry. As I mentioned I have worked within Sector for the past 8 years. I have worked in a team environment at group homes and day programs and also independently with respite services.
