Achievements

  • Successfully running a fortnightly $50 million pay roll since November 2013. This included defining the pay, confirming the online timesheets, leave bookings and automatic salary increments and checking for any discrepancies and negative pays. Uploading the bank files and conducting the final reconciliation.
  • Closely collaborated with another Payroll Officer to seamlessly deliver redundancy estimates for two large change plans for the University (approximately 150 staff). Calculated and prepared estimates, reconciled employment history, determined severances in accordance with the EA, reconciled leave and prepared letters to be sent. This approach enabled the processing of all redundancy payments accurately and within a short space of time.
  • Undertook the payment of the annual leave loading for 2015. This included running the reports in non-update, performing a thorough check to ensure that all staff members under the EA received the payment and that the amount being paid was correct and then finalising the payment in update
  • Involved in the Parental Leave Project, including providing input on the entitlements for various staff to parental, determining the information required to process the parental leave application and providing feedback on the final parental leave form.
  • Determining and processing casuals staff members entitlement to long service leave.
  • Involved in systems testing for various system/process upgrades

  • Actively worked on the online timesheets enhancement project which included suggesting enhancements, attending brain storming sessions and follow-up meetings, liaising with the ICT project team, meticulously testing the enhancements, providing feedback on communication for go live and supporting the staff when the enhancements went live.
