  - Conducted training for 05 full batches placing a high percentage for employment in the Maldivian hospitality trade in marine mechanics, auto mechanics and auto electricians.
  - Liaised with the management in carrying out audits, improving
  standards of training and uplifting the institutes course syllabi to welcome more future batches.

• Responsible for managing a fleet of heavy machinery / Light vehicles that consisted a variety of earth moving and quarry equipment and reconditioned vehicles.
• Conducted repairs to engines including overhauls to, common rail Diesel injection systems including CAT C7/C9 ACERT HEUI systems and electricals, carried out diagnosis and maintained entire fleet in highest operational state.
• Recruited, placed, and oversaw project staff for optimal project results.
• Managed a team of 12 auto mechanics who were placed under me.

Responsible as an Executive Automobile/Marine Mechanic and
was elevated to the position of General Manager Auto/Marine
Engineering, served a period of nearly 6 years and my duties
were

• To maintain a fleet of Company owned vehicles, Super Luxury
  Yacht, Speed boats and personal watercraft to the highest standard of operational status.
• To diagnose defects in Outboards / Inboards and personal
  watercraft on a wide variety of engine makes, inclusive of two strokes and four strokes ( Mercury/ Mercruiser with PCM 555 ECM Suzuki DF 250-300 , Yamaha 40 thru 300 Hp outboards, Yamaha FX Cruiser SHO skis, Sea Doo 260 RXT/RXP skis, Sea Doo Sport Boats 150/200 Speedster 230 Wake/ Challenger and Kawasaki Ultra 300 X skis.
  (d). To disassemble automobile/marine engines, drive lines, cooling and intake system, electrical system components and repair or replace defective parts.
• To operate equipment such as Yamaha/Suzuki/ Sea Doo
  diagnostic systems, special tools and equipment prescribed by the respective manufacturer in carrying out special, routine and periodic maintenance work.
• To review work orders and discuss them with superiors.
• To verify water vehicles serviceability by test runs and adjusting
  controls and systems.
• To supervise (05) employees in the repair shop.

Selected Accomplishments

• Completely re-wounded the badly damaged Gen. assy of Sea Doo 200 Speedster sports boat with a modification to magneto including permanent magnet assys. and housing due to damage caused by turbo disintegration.
• Overhauled the Eaton Vortex supercharger used in Kawasaki Ultra 300X Watercraft due to damaged seals.
• Repaired and re-flashed the engine control Unit of Volvo Penta
  D9A engine due to abnormal functions.
• Disassembled the faulty ECM of Sea Doo RXP – X260 Jet ski and reprogrammed using flash film ware and improved fuel map and the maximum RPM.
• Maintained ,Operated and serviced different kinds of boat trailers both bunk and roller type.

Responsible as the Service Manager for local dealer of Yamaha
Marine and Power Products Workshop for a period of nearly 02 years
and my duties were,

• Used industry expertise, customer service skills and analytical nature to resolve customer concerns and promote loyalty.
• To organize activities of Yamaha Outboards, Inboards, PWCs and
  power products repairs and maintenance services according to
  guidelines stipulated by the principals.
• To perform tests on engines and sub-assemblies after repairs and overhauls with standard equipment and gauges allocated by the principals.
• To workout estimates according to hours of labour, spares and standard flat rate schedule.
• To carry out evaluation, conduct familiarization training on all technicians of the workshop regarding service bulletins and shop manuals promulgated by the principals in achieving highest productivity.
• To detail technicians, direct and coordinate activities of them in
  repairing, assembling and testing assigned tasks that includes
  Outboards, Inboards, PWCs, Power Generating machinery and rigging and repowering.
• To conduct Basic and Advanced Training for Navy Technicians on all Outboard Systems per the guidelines of the Yamaha Motor Company, Japan.
• To carry out pre delivery inspections of Yamaha products and
  perform repairs on Outboards, Inboards and Power products when there was a necessity to provide team work in achieving targets in a limited time frame.

Selected Accomplishments

Found the root cause for frequent power head damages of Yamaha
200AETO/BETO models due to detonation, pre-ignition and provided a solution that was appreciated by Sri Lanka Navy.

Conducted advanced and basic trade training for Sri Lanka Navy
technicians on Yamaha PWCs, Outboards, Inboards and IPS.

Responsible for managing and maintaining a fleet of vehicles utilized for the duties of Peoples Bank Officials. The duties included

• To track the fleet vehicles that was assigned on different tasks and calculates the mileage against fuel consumption.

To handle the maintenance aspect of vehicles that included,

• Complete or partial engine overhauls, decarbonizing, valve grinding,fitting, re-boring and to re-sleeve cylinder blocks and rebuild engines.
  -overhaul, service the transmission assemblies and drive lines of
  manual / auto front or rear drive vehicles.
• diagnose defects using OBD II Gen vehicle specific scanners and repair or service the fuel injection and ignition circuits.
• To overhaul the suspension systems, service and reassemble.
• To diagnose defects in brake system, servicing and refit
  sub-assemblies.
• To diagnose defects in power or manual steering systems, overhaul service and reassemble.
• To diagnose defects in starter and charging circuits, service and
  reassemble.
• To diagnose defects in automotive air conditioning systems including climatic control systems, overhaul, service and reassembly.
• To raise vehicles using hydraulic/electrical hoists, jacks and disassemble engines and sub assemblies for repairs and services.
• To tune engines with the engine analyzer and ascertain smoother running in compliance with pollution regulations.
• To change lubricants, ATF and lubricate motor appliances.
  

I served in above position for a period of nearly 15 years and my
duties were.

• To carry out proper administration procedures of respective
  Mechanical Transport fleets.
• To handle the maintenance part of the automotive and machinery
  under purview of the Directorate.
