• As psychologist, I completed assessments of children with autism. Assessment can be related to diagnosis, cognition (IQ) or way a child with autism thinks and sees world. To understand what strengths and weaknesses a child has is very important to understand how best to teach them. If child shows strengths in visual processing, they are very good at using visual information rather than auditory information (what they hear), then instruction can be provided with more visual cues than words. Using a Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) is a good example of a form of communication that uses a child's visual strengths.

Early Autism Services has provided ABA therapy for children with autism. In 2008, EAS began offering in-home Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) in the greater Chicago area. Now, the ABA team helps families throughout the United States, Australia, and India.

Daily part-time role as an administrative assistant at Early Autism Services.

I was responsible for the position of Administrative Assistant. I used to assist with the day-to-day operations of the office by doing tasks such as filing paperwork, answering phone calls, preparing documents for meetings, and managing the calendar of all children's Behavioural Therapists.

Daily part-time role as Behavioural Therapist, I use to focus on ABA therapy to support autistic children in the following areas:

· Daily Living Skills

· Fine & Gross Motor Skills

· Functional behaviours.

· Language and Communication

· Play skills.

· Pre-Academic skills

· Social skills.

• Responsible for documenting case histories of clients. I learned about different Behavioural therapies and submitted work through CBT.

I visited different psychiatric wards every day and checked on patients. I interacted with them and noted down their progress and current condition. I was also required to take down the case histories of new clients. I also worked in the autism ward for a while. I also worked in the Autism care unit with the special educator.
