Currently serving as an Interventional Fellow at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, Sydney, with advanced procedural skills in coronary angiography, PCI, intravascular imaging (IVUS, OCT), coronary physiology assessment (FFR, iFR), pericardiocentasis, echocardiogram. Previously completed two-years of Heart Failure and Transplant Fellowship at St. Vincent’s Hospital, gaining extensive experience managing heart transplant and mechanical circulatory support patients, performing cardiac biopsies and right heart catheterization, and contributing to multidisciplinary care across acute and ambulatory settings.
Before relocating to Australia, I worked for four years as a Consultant in General and Interventional Cardiology at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD), Dhaka — the country’s leading cardiac referral institute.
I hold an MSc in Clinical Trials from the University of Oxford, which has strengthened my expertise in evidence-based medicine and the conduct of large-scale randomised controlled trials. I am currently leading a research study involving a large cohort of PCI patients in NSW, with focus on outcomes in high-risk subgroups including those with chronic kidney disease.
With 15 years of postgraduate experience, a strong academic background, and a deep commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing professional development, I aim to contribute meaningfully as an interventional cardiologist.
