Rotation One: RevenueWA - Review Team (Feb - May 2024)

  • Identified and registered objections to taxation decisions using internal systems including RCIS Forms, ADF and DMS to manage the objection registration process.
  • Identified factual discrepancies/omissions and obtained additional information to resolve them from corporations, taxpayers and other available sources.
  • Researched and identified the requirements of relevant legislative provisions and applied them to the case's facts to make the correct determination.
  • Utilised case law, Commissioner's Practices, past decisions and State Solicitor's Office advice to inform determinations.
  • Determined 35 objections across various tax lines including Duties, Land Tax, Building Grants and First Home Owner Grants.
  • Completed a week in the Duties Branch assessing and issuing Duties Assessment Notices resulting from compliance investigations, business sale agreements and transfers of land.


Rotation Two: Buildings and Contracts - Education and Training Customer Team (June - September 2024)

  • Facilitated three procurement processes in consultation with the South Metropolitan, Central Regional and North Regional TAFEs.
  • Facilitated a process for North Regional TAFE whereby they engaged directly with Horizon Power as a bona fide sole source provider for electricity through a bespoke contract.
  • Developed Request documents through discussions with key client representatives which support their desired outcomes and comply with the Procurement Rules.
  • Prepared Evaluation Handbooks, Evaluation Reports and Outcome Letters for team members' processes.
  • Prepared negotiation logs for team members' processes and provided comments on proposed departures from Finance's General Conditions of Contract for the client's consideration.
