Summary

Experience within Design and Technology with over a year of experience in completing a majour project whereby a number of skills were developed.

· Ability to use complex computer programs such as Adobe InDesign and Illustrator to express creative ideas and concepts with an intensive attention to detail

· Experience using 3D printers and laser cutters in combination with aforementioned computer programs in order to plan, develop and prototype said ideas in order to create at a level beyond my known ability

· Leadership and Initiative - going beyond the quota by investing the time and effort to learn those programs and tools when there was no indication to do so, thereby, encouraging fellow friends and classmates to follow my footsteps.

· Teamwork - Using the opportunity that my initiative and leadership created in order to help, and to a degree, teach others my newly gained skills. In doing so, creating an ecosystem of exponential growth that allowed the formation of a team that was greater than the sum of its parts.

This effort was recognized consistently, culminating in being awarded a band 6 for the subject. In doing so, I have become motivated to learn, grow and excel in my mechanical engineering studies.

Hobbies

Basketball - I find myself constantly indulging in the intrinsic qualities that make basketball one of the most of the enjoyed sports around the world - Teamwork, competitiveness and most importantly; rhythm. I believe that rhythm is one of the answers that often defines the human condition. When in the right rhythm, one is given the clarity and confirmation to act instinctively, based on no factual evidence but rather a form of intuition, just as how a basketball player can make split second decisions to steal the ball or create just enough separation to shoot an important shot. Rhythm is about understanding ideas and concepts, both analytically and emotionally to a level in which we think and act becomes second nature. To be able to think so deeply about an otherwise simple sport is why I love basketball so much and why it's more than just a hobby to me. It's a way of life.
