SAMUEL KIDNER

As an Infantry Soldier in the Australian Army, I developed strong skills in time management, task completion, and working in high pressure environments. I was responsible for the operation, maintenance, and management of equipment, as well as supporting and coordinating with my team.

I learned to quickly understand and operate complex systems, including communication equipment, navigation tools, medical gear, and various weapon systems. This demonstrates my ability to rapidly pick up and use new technology, such as ServiceStream’s meter reading equipment. I worked both independently and in teams, followed clear procedures, and always ensured accuracy and accountability.

During my service i was deployed twice, both times in peacekeeping and disaster relief operations.

As a Customer Service Associate in the Timber and Hardware section at Masters Hardware Store, I provided expert advice to customers on a wide range of products, including tools, timber, and building materials. I assisted customers by preparing accurate quotes, helping them select the right materials for their projects, and answering any technical questions. In addition to customer consultations, I was responsible for operating the cash register, processing transactions, and handling payment accurately and efficiently.

I also played an integral role in packing and organizing orders, ensuring that products were securely packed for transport. My duties included loading stock into customer vehicles, offering assistance with large or heavy items to ensure safety. I was responsible for maintaining an organized, stocked inventory in the Timber and Hardware section, ensuring customers could easily find what they needed. Throughout my time in this role, I developed strong communication and problem-solving skills, providing exceptional service and helping create a welcoming environment for all customers.
